Engagement
I love love love the UCLA campus. Amazing brick buildings and lots of greenery. Almost looks like an east coast college campus. Kristy and Rob were so mellow and easy going. Kristy looked great in her purple dress and Rob complimented her well. Love the way these turned out!!!
I find it comforting and also challenging to shoot in locations that I have been to before. The Getty, as you all may know, is one of my favorite spots. Having been there before, I tend to shoot in spots frequently. The challenge for me is to make each shoot unique and fun. That is what I love about my job. You can repeat so many things, yet try and succeed at making them look different and new. Olivia and David were great and willing to let me go with my artistic eye. Thanks guys.
Pasadena is a city where no matter where you go, there is a great spot to shoot. Sara and Ej were so easy to work with. They both seemed pretty nervous at first but by the time we ended the day, they were pros. Looking forward to their wedding in Malibu in August.
Spent the latter part of a day with Christen and Jeff in Santa Barbara which is another one of my favorite engagement session spots. Always so many great locations and always great lighting. Christen and Jeff were so easy to work with and made my job very easy.
This was a great opportunity for Julie and Mike to get not only their engagement pictures but also some family photos. We had a blast running around the beach exploring all the different spots to shoot at Leo Carrillo State Beach.
One of my favorite spots by far is the Getty center for Engagement pictures. Lots of great buildings and textures. Jill and Aaron are just a fun couple and they get each other and have a fun time just hanging out. The pictures show it.
It was a sunny, warm California weekend when we went to the Getty Villla in Malibu for Lisa and Steve's engagement session. Awesome location with a great couple always equals a fantastic photo shoot. Had a blast at their wedding in November too. Stayed tuned for their wedding post soon.
Rarely will I hear a client suggest photographing an engagement session in back alley's with lots of graffiti, but in this case they did. All of this artwork fit right into Mandy and Adam's lifestyle. We found some crazy backgrounds wandering the streets of Melrose. Thanks for a fresh idea!!
I have been dying to shoot on the UCLA campus for a long time. Jade and Cameron were the perfect couple to have my first shoot there with. Very easy going and the camera absolutely loves them. Can't wait for their wedding in July!!!
I love shooting in Santa Barbara. There are a few of my favorite spots, but also so many new and unique locations. I typically just walk the streets with the couples and find great architecture and lighting. Gerry and Sonia were so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Thanks for a fun day.
We met Shawn and Shauna at the Santa Barbara Expo and have hit it off ever since. Spent a great day wandering downtown Santa Barbara and ended the evening with nice dinner and some wine with our new friends. Thanks guys. Look forward to the wedding!!
Katie was the lucky winner of my free engagement session drawing at the Great Bridal Expo. She thought she only walked out of there with some free magazines. We met at one of their favorite local parks to get some fun shots. We even found a section of concrete that made for some fun urban shots.
Shoot two of three this last weekend. Spent a Saturday afternoon walking around Santa Barbara with Joey and Laura. The whole day just felt like we were on a double date with them and I just happen to have my camera. Looking forward to their wedding in three weeks.
We spent a sunny, warm Sunday at the Getty Center in LA shooting Sally and Kyle's engagement session. It was an awesome day and I had a blast with these two. They have a very natural demeanor with each other and the photos show it. Looking forward to their wedding in June!!!! They are getting married at the beautiful Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo.
We went to Pasadena to shoot Tracy and Michelle's engagement pictures. Luckily we missed the rain and ended up with nice weather. Tracy and Michelle were so natural
and comfortable. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot their engagement since I wasn't going
to be able to shoot the wedding. I am in the wedding.

We went to one of my favorite engagement shoot spots with Linda and Ryan. Leo Carrillo State Beach. Always a safe choice when it comes to beaches. The weather was a little overcast, which made for soft lighting.
Really nice couple. I am looking forward to their wedding in June.
Well what looked like a day that was going to be canceled due to rain, turned out to be a great day of pictures. We had originally planned on going to a park close to their wedding site, but
when rain clouds moved in and dumped for a few hours, we figured the park would have been too muddy.
We went with plan B and went to the beach. Weather cleared up nicely and we got some amazing pics.
