This was another wedding that took place in three places. We started out at the L.A. Temple in Santa Monica where we got some amazing pictures on the grounds outside the temple. We then stopped by El Matador State Beach on the way to the reception in Thousand Oaks. There is always something about a bride in her wedding dress taking photos at the beach. It always works. Great day and only got rained on for 15-20 minutes.
Alison and Fred Kailer- July 4, 2010- Lost Canyons GC
You really learn a lot about a couple when you see the ones who love them get so emotional at events like this. It was evident in the speeches, not only from the best man and maid of honor, but also the grooms father, how much this couple has touched so many lives and means the world to all of them. They are very special people and are very deep in love.
Ashlyn and Aaron Toczynski- July 2, 2010- Lost Canyons GC
Two words come to mind when I think of this wedding. Crazy and Fun. Both of those words are understatements. This group knows how to have a good time but also be a little crazy. Ashlyn and Aaron are surrounded by friends and family that care deeply about them. They are also expecting their first child really soon. Congrats guys.
Jessica and Steve Harsha- June 26, 2010- Odyssey
Jessica and Steve have a great story about being reunited after being apart for several years. It took a pretty serious accident to bring them back together, but just goes to show you, love works in mysterious ways. They found their way back to each other and are the sweetest, nicest couple you will ever meet.
Jacqueline and Matt Jue- June 25, 2010- Sterling Hills
It was a perfect day out at Sterling Hills Golf club for Jackie and Matt to get married. They are surrounded by a great group of friends and family and overall just had a great day. Glad I was asked to capture all of the fun.
Deb and Ryan- Engagement Session- Laguna Beach
We went to Laguna Beach for Deb and Ryan's engagement pictures. Ryan proposed at the Surf and Sand Club so we figured, what better place for their engagement photos. The one consistent thing I always love about the beach is that it is always a relaxed environment for pictures. It really helps the couple feel comfortable with the camera and makes for some great photos.
Olivia and David Dirro- June 19, 2010- McCormick Ranch House
Really love the rustic look and feel of McCormick Ranch House in Camarillo. It is always nice to be able to incorporate so much of the surrounding area into the wedding photos. The ceremony site is a nice tucked away area with lots of trees and greenery. Had lots of fun with Olivia and David.
Jordan and Jordan Sugar- June 6, 2010- Walnut Grove
Back to back weddings at Walnut Grove. Great since I was there the day before, but also need to keep it fresh for my clients. Rarely do you see a couple this happy. Not only to be in love and now married, but just in life in general. They are always smiling!!! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Sugar.
Rachel and Matt Wallman- June 5, 2010- Walnut Grove
This is my first time photographing a wedding at Walnut Grove in Moorpark. All I can say is wow!!! This site has quickly become one of my favorite sites to shoot at. Incredible greenery and gorgeous light coming through the walnut trees. Rachel and Matt were so unbelievably comfortable in front of the camera. I didn't want to stop shooting! Coupled with the incredible Michele Spring coordinating and Command Performance Catering, what an incredible day.
Aimee and Shayne Stalnaker- June 4, 2010- Grand Traditions Estate
This was my second wedding at Grand Traditions Estate in Fallbook this year. It is nice to shoot at the same locations multiple times
and see how many different options you can get. Really love this location.
Had a blast working with this couple all around. From their engagement pictures to the wedding, just cool people.
Also great to work with Rick Borja for the first time. Here's to many more.
Christina and Todd- Engagement Session- Santa Monica
Engagement sessions at the beach are always best if coupled with some near by city photos.
The contrast of the pretty beach with the urban city feel always make for a great set. Thanks for a great afternoon Chris and Todd.
Laura and Greg Weiss- May 20, 2010- Westlake Village Inn
Laura and Greg's wedding was on a Thursday at the Westlake Village Inn. Yes, a Thursday. Have to say it was my first mid-week wedding that wasn't a Friday.Between having a very easy going couple and a beautiful location, it made my job a breeze.
Christen and Jeff Chamberlain- May 16, 2010- Santa Ynez
This wedding is a perfect example of an intimate backyard party. Held at a private estate in Santa Ynez, everything just had a homemade touch and feel to it.Love Santa Ynez weddings!!!
Shannon and Jeff Foster- May 8, 2010- Ojai
Shannon and Jeff were married in Ojai, Ca. Ojai is a very laid back, easy going city. Perfect for a couple like Shannon and Jeff. The entire day was easy going and just fun. Thanks.
Scott and Chelsi- Engagement Session- UCLA
UCLA is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions. Love the old brick buildings and there is always pretty light as the sun goes behind the hills and trees.Scott and Chelsi were so relaxed and very easy to photograph. They just get each other.
Rob and Kristy- May 1, 2010- L.A. Zoo
To say that Rob and Kristy's wedding was a zoo would be appropriate for this event. Their wedding was actually at the zoo!!!
Made for some incredible and unique photos but still managed to have a touch of beauty. Good choice guys.
Tralee and Steve Johnson- April 10, 2010- Four Seasons Westlake
Tralee and Steve are very dear friends and it was an honor to be the photographer at their wedding. They chose the Four Seasons Westlake as their site. It doesn't get much better than that.
Coupled with the incomparable Bruce Barrios , you really can't go wrong. Thanks guys!!!
Ashley and Sean Zobits- March 27, 2010- Grand Traditions Estate
Ashley and Sean were married at a beautiful outdoor location in Fallbrook. Gorgeous gazebo next to a lake with swans. Wonderful day with a great people.
Jordan and Jordan - Engagement Session - Downtown Los Angeles
No there is not an echo in here. This is Jordan and Jordan. Not only a really cool couple but very happy people in life and with each other. I ran into an issue while working with these two in that each time I would say "Jordan, look over here" or "Jordan, look at the camera and Jordan look at Jordan", well you get where I am going with this. So to solve this problem, I was told to call boy Jordan by his last name, which is Sugar. So now it turned into "Jordan look over there and Sugar you look at me" Lots of laughs....I missed shooting in downtown LA. So many great buildings and landmarks. I need to go back soon. Thanks!!!
Aimee and Shayne - Engagement Session - Carpenteria
These photos are a perfect example that overcast lighting is gorgeous for photos. Aimee and Shayne were a bit worried when we showed up to the beach for their engagement photos and it was hazy and overcast. The pictures turned out great and Aimee and Shayne were super easy to work with and can't wait for their wedding in Fallbrook. See you guys soon!!
