Incredibly classy couple at a very prestigious country club makes for incredible pictures. This was my first time photographing an event at Sherwood Country Club and I absolutely loved it. Can't wait for the next one there.
Maggie and Jerrad Lane- October 9, 2010- Pasadena
Maggie and Jerrad were going for a very classic look. Everyone looked great and fit in nicely with the old classic church and trendy Rococo Room in Pasadena. Maggie looked stunning in her dress and I love how their pictures turned out.
Kelly and Mike- Engagement Session- Griffith Park and Observatory
Kelly and Mike are just fun people. They know how to have a good time with each other and just life in general.

Amanda and Mike LaValle- October 2, 2010- Calamigos Ranch
Amanda and Mike had a beautiful wedding set at Calamigos Ranch. Calamigos offers so much and has so many great areas to photograph. The pictures really look like they were taken at multiple locations. Amanda and Mike had a great time surrounded by their friends and family.
Erica and Ian Erickson- September 25, 2010- Alisal Ranch Solvang
The grounds at Alisal Ranch are immense. They were married overlooking a lake that was absolutely gorgeous. It was also very fitting that the gentlemen wore cowboy boots and cowboy hats. Erica and Ian were so comfortable in their environment.
Jennifer and Corey Neuer- September 12, 2010- Maravilla Gardens
Love is a very powerful thing and always has a way of coming through and bringing people together. Jen and Corey are a perfect example of this. They have a wonderful relationship and now they are a complete family. The day for Jen and Corey couldn't have been better. Maravilla Gardens and Command Performance Catering always shine.
Erin and Jay Harrelson- September 4, 2010- Bella Victorian Vineyards
Bella Victorian Vineyards, beautiful bride, great weather, awesome people. Need I say more? Thanks to Brooke at Orange Blossom Events for a smooth day.
Andrea and Gary Wallace- August 28, 2010- Dick Clark Estate- Malibu
Okay, they only allow events a few times a year at the Dick Clark Estate. Luckily Andrea and Gary got hooked up with an absolutely beautiful location and a perfect day. I could have easily wandered the grounds for hours taking pictures, but we had to get to the party. It was great to work with Monique Prieto of Mia Bella Weddings and Skyline Videography at this wedding. Fun times.
Annie and Ryan- Engagement Session- Bridlewood Winery
Bridlewood winery is the spot that Ryan propsed marriage to Annie so it seemed so appropriate to have their engagement session there. Plus, my wife and I are always up for a winery visit. Really loved the winery and it surrounding area.
Sara and EJ Fonacier- August 21, 2010- Rancho Del Sol Pacifico
Rancho Del Sol Pacifico is one of the prettiest ocean view venues I have ever been to. Set atop a mountain in Malibu, you get an amazing view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. So many cool areas to take pictures. Sara and EJ were the ideal bride and groom. Very laid back and easy going. Gorgeous wedding.
Katie and Marcello Quinonez- August 20, 2010- Ventura/Ojai
If there was ever an example of a simple and intimate wedding, this would be it. From the ceremony on the beach in Ventura to the backyard reception in Ojai, it was all centered around the friends and family that meant most to them.
Jaimi and Brian Norton- August 14, 2010- Ventura
Jaimi and Brian had the best of both worlds at their wedding. They had the beautiful beach setting for the ceremony and then took over a nightclub in Ventura for a party....I mean reception. Everything was gorgeous thanks to the coordinating skills of Kristeen LaBrot Events and flowers by Fujiko's Flowers. This wedding was also featured on the Wedding Nouveau blog.
Ali and Brian Angel- August 7, 2010- Santa Barbara Yacht Club
Ali and Brian had a very simple wedding at the yacht club in Santa Barbara. At the reception, they formed a large square table that everyone sat around. They then took a moment to pass the microphone to each person for some kinds words. Really special moments. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
Chelsi and Scott Fulkerson- August 1, 2010- Bella Victorian Vineyards
Chelsi and Scott were married at one of my favorite venues, Bella Victorian Vineyards. Jerry and Kim always do such a nice job with the location and wedding. Bella is really beautiful year-round. I always love to get some of my favorite photos as well as new ones at Bella.
Christina and Todd Hawse- July 31, 2010- Newport Beach
Christina and Todd were married on a boat in the Newport Beach harbor. We were able to get a good variety of shots for having such a small space. Christina and Todd are also expecting their first child.
Maggie and Jerrad- Engagement Session- Ventura
Maggie and Jerrad chose Ventura for their engagement session. Ventura is a place that they frequently go on dates to. This is so important and I always tell my couples to pick a place that is special to them. Makes the pictures just that much more special and relaxing. Maggie also pulled off the classic look very well. Love these pics.
Jennifer and Corey- Engagement Session- Cornell Winery
Jen and Corey had this great opportunity to not only get their engagement pictures but also get some family photos with Corey's son. What a great location and great light for some incredible and fun pictures with the couple and family.
Jaimi and Brian- Engagement Session- Santa Barbara
I love Santa Barbara. And to be able to do an engagement session in Santa Barbara with some really cool people? Even cooler! Often times I am asked what my favorite spots to shoot are at certain locations. My answer? Wherever the light leads me. Lighting and background are different every day, so I like to just show up and follow my eye to the pleasing backgrounds with gorgeous light and let my clients seamlessly mix in.
Amanda and Mike- Engagement Session- El Matador State Beach
This is a perfect example of a couple that didn't want to do an engagement session at first, but after I talked to them about the importance of it, agreed to it. They were both super uncomfortable with the camera but you couldn't tell from the photos. It's a combo of making them feel comfortable with me not only as a person but their photographer. Once they think of me as "Toby" and not "The Photographer", they both relax and just have fun with it.
Jade and Cameron Robinson- July 17, 2010- Westalke Village Hyatt
It's really hard to take a bad photo when you have a couple like Jade and Cameron. Not only are they super great people but they are not bad looking either...haha. Jade is a professional model so she loves the camera and the camera loves her. This was actually my first wedding at the Westlake Hyatt and I look forward to many more.
